The history of Annechiena Willemiena

In 1893 Annechiena Willemiena was built by G. (N.) van der Werf. in Stadskanaal, for 3100 guilders. Description: iron tjalk-ship, 134 tons.

Hendrik (Pieters) Bul, sailor of Wildervank who had the ship built, owned a wooden ship before which also had the name Annechiena.
Most probably this was the name of his wife.

The owner was an executive member of the insurance company "Compact de Eendracht".

In 1901 a sea-going permission was issued on the ship.

In 1912 the ship no longer did sea-trips and was listed as inland navigation ship.

This is a picture of the board of "de Eendracht" an insurance company for mostly inland navigation ships. Third from the left is mr. H. Bul. There was also a mr. H. van der Werf in the board, most probably family of the constructor of the ship(seventh from the left).
